5 Steps to Healthy Knees
Step 1: Consultation, Evaluation, Digital X-rays and Ultra-Sound: Our doctors will perform specific orthopedic/muscle tests to determine the function of the knee. Ultra-Sound will be performed to assess soft tissue structures of the knee. Problem-specific X-rays will then be taken to determine if you are a candidate for our non-surgical knee program, and the most effective approach that we need to take.
Step 2: Hyaluronic Therapy: Hyaluronic Acid, which acts as a synthetic form of your natural knee cartilage is administered under specific ultrasound guidance to add cushion and resilience back to the knee. Hyaluronic Acid acts as a lubricant to the knee joint. The accepted standard of care for treatment with Hyaluronic Acid consists of 5 injections over a 5 week period.
Step 3: Improving Function: Cold laser, adjustor, and percussion are used to restore strength and range of motion (R.O.M) in the spine and knee.
